How do I prepare for a Chemical Peel / Microdermabrasion?1. If you are using any topical retinols, AHAs or BHAs discontinue use 7 days prior to your appointment. You may continue topical use of these products 7 days following your peel treatment. 2. Plan to stay out of the sun for the next 3 days. Your skin will be extremely sun-sensitive and being in the sun can possibly cause uneven skin tone/brown spots. 3. No saunas, jacuzzis, strenuous exercise for 24 hours following treatment. 4. Gentle Cleanser (no AHA's or BHA's) 5. MINERAL SUNSCREEN is a must. Wear mineral sunscreen daily for a minimum of 7 days (and hopefully everyday after that) following your chemical peel. 6. No exfoliating the skin for 7 days. Do not pick or peel off possible flaking skin. Allow it to come off naturally. 7. Advise your esthetician of all products you are using so that we are aware of possible reactions your skin may have to the chemical peel process.

What should I expect during a Chemical Peel? While receiving your chemical peel treatment, your esthetician will be checking with you for any heat sensations you may be feeling on a scale of 1-5. We provide a fan to ease some of the heat sensations and we care very much about your comfort; never allowing the heat to get to a 5. A cool moisturizing mask will be applied following peel application to rehydrate the skin. Next, only the freshest of ingredients are put onto the skin in the form of serums, a moisturizer and of course mineral sunscreen.

You do not have to visibly peel in order to have amazing results. We do offer various depths of peels; if you do peel it will begin 1-2 days after your peel treatment. It will continue for 3-5 days and then discontinue. ***If you feel that you are having a negative reaction to the chemical peel or have not healed the way you should have (after 7 days) and have already done the recommendations below, do not hesitate to contact us and we will assist you in calming the skin down*** Tips for Calming the Skin After a Chemical Peel 1.
